About Haazri

Why we built it

Most Indian SMBs run attendance on a paper register and payroll on a spreadsheet. The register is filled in after the fact, the spreadsheet is copied forward each month, and by the time anyone spots an error the salary has already been paid. The software built to fix this is mostly priced and shaped for companies with an HR department — several competitors will not sell to you below fifty employees at all.

Haazri is built for the business with eight to sixty people and no HR team: the owner, or one person who does accounts and HR together. Attendance is captured at the gate on a phone with a GPS-verified check-in, and it flows into leave balances and the monthly payroll run without anyone retyping it.

How we think about it

• Every rupee should be traceable. A payslip shows which dates caused a deduction, not just a total. If you cannot explain a number to the employee standing in front of you, the software has failed.
• The server decides, not the phone. Distance from the office, hours worked and pay are always recomputed on our side. Nothing the app reports is taken on trust.
• A locked month stays locked. Once payroll is finalised, attendance for that month is frozen. Corrections go into the next cycle rather than quietly rewriting a month you have already paid.
• Pricing you can read without a sales call. The rates are on the pricing page, in rupees, per employee per month.

What it does not do yet

Being straight about this saves everyone a wasted demo. Haazri does not yet handle overnight shifts that cross midnight, does not compute overtime pay, and does not generate statutory filing files such as the PF ECR or Form 16 — your accountant still files those. Professional tax is currently supported for a subset of states. If any of those is central to how you run payroll, tell us before you start a trial and we will say plainly whether we are a fit.
